Incubus Tour With Special Guest Jimmy Eat World Stops in Phoenix August 12

It’s hard to believe that Incubus’ major-label debut album dropped 20 years ago but it has, in fact, been that long.  And Incubus is headed out on tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of 1997’s S.C.I.E.N.C.E. The tour will be stopping in Phoenix at the Ak-Chin Pavilion on August 12.  Special guests will be Arizona’s own Jimmy Eat World along with Judah & the Lion.  The 30 city tour is produced by Live Nation and will kick-off on July 6 in West Palm Beach.

Incubus, originally from Calabasas, CA, released their indie debut album Fungus Amongus in 1995.  Incubus’ first five studio albums were certified either gold or platinum and produced such Billboard Alternative Chart hits as “Drive” (2000, also Top 10 Pop), “Megalomaniac” (2003), “Anna-Molly” (2006), and “Love Hurts” (2008).

Incubus released its 8th studio album, coincidentally titled 8, on April 21, 2017, which debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.   The first single off the album was Nimble Bastard, which was released on February 21 and peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart.

Arizona ‘s own Jimmy Eat World has been on the road non-stop in support of their ninth studio album Integrity Blues.  The band recorded Integrity Blues in Los Angeles with producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Paramore, M83). The album which Rolling Stone called “some of the band’s most adventurous musical statement in years,” includes the hit single “Sure and Certain” along with other gems “You With Me,” “You Are Free” and the next single “Get Right.”Integrity Blues is currently available.

Jimmy Eat World exploded on the music scene with their 2001 multi-platinum breakout album Bleed American.  Bleed American (re-released as self-titled album Jimmy Eat World after the 9/11 attacks) produced four the top twenty singles: Bleed American, The Middle, Sweetness, wich reached#1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.

Opening the show will be Judah & the Lion, a folk/indie/alternative the band from Nashville.  They are touring in support of their latest album Folk Hop ‘N Roll Deluxe which dropped on March 21, 2017.  Judah & the Lion may be best known for their single, Take It All Back, which reached #1 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart for three weeks in December 2016/January 2017.
