Iron Maiden will bring their hugely successful The Book Of Souls world tour to the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on June 28, 2017 as part of its summer 2017 North American leg. The tour opened in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in February 2016. Since its launch, The Book Of Souls tour has covered 72 shows in 36 countries around the world. The upcoming leg starts on June 3 in Bristow, VA and will feature support from Ghost.
“We are really looking forward to returning to North America for a full tour.” Steve Harris said. “We will, of course, be bringing the full production with us including all the Eddies and the Maya-themed stage sets. There’s been a great reaction from everyone to this tour’s theme, people really seem to love it. We’re still deciding on the final set-list and we’ll work that out once we get into rehearsals. Most of our North American fans haven’t seen the show yet so as we want to give them the same Book Of Souls live experience that we took around the world, it’s unlikely we’ll change much. And of course we know our fans appreciate us playing a lot of the older songs too, so we will continue to do that!”
The Book Of Souls is Iron Maiden’s first ever double studio album. It’s also their most successful chart-wise to date, debuting at the No.1 spot in over 40 countries around the world, No.2 in Canada and No.4 in the U.S.A.
In addition to their global tour, Iron Maiden is re-releasing much of its catalogue on vinyl. Parlophone Records will follow 2014’s reissue of the first 8 IRON MAIDEN albums from the 1980s with 12 brand new pressings of albums originally released 1990-2015. The albums will be re-released in heavyweight 180g black vinyl.
Unlike the 1980’s reissues which were cut from the original analogue master tapes, the audio on these releases has been cut from the high resolution remasters of 2015 when the Maiden catalogue was digitally upgraded. The album art will be identical to the initial vinyl releases. The re-releases will occur in the following schedule:
|May 19||No Prayer For The Dying|
|Fear Of The Dark|
|The X Factor|
|June 23||Brave New World|
|Rock In Rio (Live)|
|Dance Of Death|
|A Matter Of Life And Death|
|July 21||Death On The Road (Live)|
|Flight 666 (Live)|
|The Final Frontier|
|En Vivo! (Live)|
As a bonus, the first two albums (No Prayer For The Dying & Fear Of The Dark) will also be made available in an exclusive Collector’s Box sized to house all 12 albums with additional space for fans to insert the latest Maiden studio album The Book Of Souls, which was released on triple black vinyl in 2015. The Collector’s Box will be a strictly limited edition and available while stocks last.
