The Eagles have added a Phoenix date to the end of their An Evening With The Eagles tour. They will be playing at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on September 8 to close out their 2018 North American Tour. Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B Schmit and Vince Gill will be joined on the road by Deacon Frey – the son of late Eagles guitarist and vocalist Glenn Frey, who passed away in January 2016. The tour launches on March 12 in Indianapolis and runs through the summer.
The Eagles will be joined on tour by Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band, Chris Stapleton and James Taylor & His All-Star Band on selected dates but it appears that they are appearing on their own for the Phoenix date.
The Eagles formed in 1971 and released their debut album, Eagle, in 1972. Since then they have amassed 5 number-one singles, 6 Grammy awards, 5 American Music Awards, and 6 number-one albums. Their album Hotel California is consistently ranked as one of the most important rock and roll albums of all time. The Eagles have sold more than 150 million records worldwide, 100 million in the US alone and they are one of the top-selling American bands in US history.
