Location: The Van Buren, Phoenix, Arizona
Date: Sunday Sept 29th, 2019
Promoter: Danny Zelisko Presents

70s classic rock powerhouse group, Blue Oyster Cult (BOC) is returning to the Valley of The Sun to perform at The Van Buren in downtown Phoenix on Sunday September 29th, 2019.  Fronted by guitarists Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma, this group has created classic songs, “The Reaper”, Godzilla” and “Burnin’ For You”.  Even if you did not hear them in the 70s, I am sure you heard their music.  Saturday Night Live made “The Reaper” famous when Will Ferrell played cowbell as the band (fake) played the song.  Christopher Walken (the band’s manager) kept saying “I Gotta Have More Cowbell”.  It is possibly one of the funniest musical skits Saturday Night Live has ever done.  The band has embraced this parity and now plays cowbell at the beginning of the song.  I have seen BOC and they put on an outstanding show.
