I really enjoy going to the local bars and seeing some of the local bands doing covers of major artist. It is even better to see some of the touring bands that are tribute bands. Two of my favorites (and IMO best) are The Musical Box (Original Genesis) and The Iron Maidens. The Iron Maidens are an all-female band that performs Iron Maiden songs. I have been at a number of Iron Maiden shows and also The Iron Maidens shows and I can tell you these ladies knock it out of the park. They are amazing and have had such great guitarist like Nita Strauss (Hurricane Nita) and Courtney Cox (CCShred) as past members. If you love Iron Maiden music (and since Iron Maiden is not coming to Arizona this year) then I can highly recommend coming to the Marquee Theatre in Tempe on February 10th to see this amazing band.
Joining The Iron Maidens is Tucson’s AC/DC tribute band, The Jack. They also put on a great show. Two additional local bands are on the underbill. Phoenix’s own Luxia fronted by the fabulous Lucia. She is one hell of a dynamic singer. Not to be outdone, coming down from Gerome is Doubleblind. They also are fronted by a wonderful singer, Tricia.
So please come out Saturday February 10th to the Marquee Theatre to see these 4 outstanding bands. Tickets are $35.92 (Strange number I know) and it will be general admission.
