Foals appeared at the Marquee Theatre on April 20, 2016. The date at the Marquee was sandwiched between two weekends performing at Coachella at which the band delivered critically acclaimed sets. Hailing from Oxford, England, Foals is touring in support of its August 2015 LP What Went Down. If you didn’t catch the band in Tempe, you may want to think about catching them over the next couple weeks while they remain in the Southwest. After that they head east and then to Europe for summer dates. After that it’s hard to say when they may tour again as vocalist/guitarist Yannis Philippakis recently remarked “We’ve only just put out a record so I think we’ve afforded to take some time. I don’t think there’s a rush right now… I think we need to take a break.” So it may be awhile until we get to see Foals through the valley again.
