I went to this concert because I wanted to see Winona Fighter again. I have seen them a few times and loved their energy and performances.

I look at this event as a mini-festival. There were 6 bands at tonight’s show. Almost all of them were female lead bands except for Game We Play which was an all-male band. It was really nice to see a couple of bands that were mostly female members. I was surprised by the large crowd at the Van Buren for this show. It was really nice seeing a good mix of both men and women. I even saw a couple of girls there with their mothers.

Of the 6 bands, I thought Winona Fighter was the best. However, there were 2 other bands that I thought really stood out: Diva Bleach and South Arcade. I really love all three bands front women. They were all captivating and had the audience eating out of their hands.

First up was the local Phoenix, Arizona pop-rock band, Diva Bleach. It is fronted by the very dynamic lead singer Sydney Roten. She commanded the stage as she provided her soulful voice to each song. Sydney was joined by her original band mate, guitarist Brie Ritter. Brie was solid on guitar. They were joined by bassist and drummer. Together they set the tone for the rest of the bands for the night. They reminded me a lot of the Runaways. If you get a chance to see them, I very highly recommend it. Personally, I can’t wait to see them again.

Next up was the duo, Chase Petra. Chase Petra is a “band based in Long Beach, California, recognized for their unique sound described as “quarter-life crisis pop rock. Their music combines elements of early 2000s pop punk and indie rock, appealing to listeners navigating the complexities of adulthood.” Lead guitarist and singer, Hunter Allen was joined by just a drummer on this performance.

One of my other favorite bands tonight was South Arcade. South Arcade are an English rock band from Oxford. Formed in 2021. Their works are usually described as pop-punk or alternative rock. They consist of lead singer Harmony Cavelle, guitarist Harry Winks, bass player Ollie Green and Cody Joneson drums. I really thought Harmony was the best singer of the night. She seemed to have a great vocal range and definitely commanded the stage.

Games We Play is a pop punk band led by singer-songwriter Emmyn Calleiro, originally from Miami, Florida. They gained popularity through their catchy music and engaging social media presence. They were the only all-male band of the night. Emmyn both sang and played acoustic guitar.

Based in Nashville, Winona Fighter—frontwoman and multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon, lead guitarist Dan Fuson and bassist/producer Austin Luther. This is the 3^rd time I have seen Winona Fighter. Each time I am amazed by just how good they are. I love how crazy Coco gets on stage. She dances around, spins and even does jumps. Her voice is solid. Dan and Austin realize that Coco is the main person on the stage and they play their supporting roles perfectly.

Like I stated before, I believe that Winona Fighter was the standout performance of the night. With their extremely high energy and Coco’s stage presence, they wow’d the crowd. They are definitely a band to consider seeing if you want to see a fun band and have a good time.

Honey Revenge part of idobi Radio Summer School ’26 Tour at The Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ on June 21st, 2026

Honey Revenge is an American pop rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2021. Honey Revenge was formed by lead vocalist Devin Papadol and guitarist Donny Lloyd. Their style is a combination of punk and pop rock. Donny was very good on guitar and Devin was dynamic as lead singer.

The one interesting thing that happened during Honey Revenge part of the show was they brought out a chalk board and kept count of the number of crowd surfers during one of their songs. Other then that I was not really impressed by them. For being the headliner, I thought they were not dynamic enough. Don’t get me wrong, they were good and their performance was solid.

Overall, it was an amazing night of pop-rock, punk and indie-rock. This is a perfect way to see a number of different bands and getting to decide who you liked and which bands you want to see again.
