It has been a number of years since I saw Symphony X. I was on vacation and on the day of that show I was east of Albuquerque. I drove back to Phoenix and as soon as I got home, I grabbed my camera equipment and went to the concert. I have been a fan of Symphony X since I first heard their album The Odyssey over 20 years ago. Unfortunately every time Symphony X has come back to Phoenix area in the past few years, I have been on vacation. They might not be one of the best known bands, but they have a very faithful fan base. With albums like Iconoclast & Underworld they have positioned themselves as a very good Progressive Metal band. If you like good Progressive metal music then I highly recommend seeing Symphony X when they come back to the valley at the Nile Theater.
