Gary Clark Jr. opened up in support of the Foo Fighters on September 25, 2015 at Ak Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, AZ. Performing a short but energetic set, Grammy award winner Gary Clark Jr. showed the crowd exactly why he is a master at his craft. Gary Clark Jr. was performing in support of his recently released album, The Story of Sonny Boy Slim, which has received a number of very complimentary reviews. As he has at a number of performances, Gary Clark Jr. returned to the stage mid-way into the Foo FIghters set to perform What Did I Do/God as my Witness from Sonic Highways. Gary Clark Jr.’s brief set included:

- Ain’t Messin Round
- When My Train Pulls In
- Cold Blooded
- Our Love
- Shake
- Grinder
- The Healing
Though the crowd was still filing in while Gary Clark Jr. was performing, those that were there showed enthusiastic support for the award-winning guitar player.
