Legendary musician, Alan Parsons is coming back to The Celebrity Theatre for his US tour of the 40th anniversary of his platinum album, “The Turn of a Friendly Card”.  Alan Parson is a musical genius and true renaissance man.  Like Leonardo DaVinci, Alan is a master of many disciplines including: sound engineer, record producer, teacher, writer and musician.  Most people would be proud to have produced and mixed one great album, but Alan has engineered or produced multiple multi-platinum albums including Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of The Moon”, Al Stewart’s “Year of The Cat” and the Beatles’ “Abbey Road” and “Let It Be”.  Known as the master of prog rock, Alan has created a number of his own albums including: “I Robot”, “Pyramid”, “The Turn of A Friendly Card” and “Eye in The Sky”.  Parsons has received many gold and platinum awards, 13 Grammy Award nominations and one Grammy.  Today Alan has branched out and become a teacher to show other how to master recording and album production.  He has established a world-renowned teaching program called “The Arts & Science of Sound Recording” ( ).

There is always that one group that you wished you had seen but for some strange reason it never occurred.  For me that was Alan Parsons Project.  I finally saw Alan and his new group, Alan Parsons Project Live last January just prior to the Covid-19 shutdown.  He played at the Celebrity Theatre and it was fantastic.  I have been a long-time fan and have owned all of his albums.  You can read my review of that show here: .

Most Prog or Progressive groups have a hard time getting play time on the radio, but Alan was lucky that many of his songs became hits on the radio (and MTV) including: “Games People Play”, “Psychobabble”, “Damned If I Do” and “Time”.  At the last show I saw many of the audience singing along with the band on many of these songs.  Would I go again to see Alan Parsons Project Live, hell yes.  The show brings back great memories and I personally love his songs.  I am positive that anyone old or young would enjoy the show and songs.  Also, how can you go wrong seeing a concert at the Celebrity Theatre here in Phoenix.  There are no seats over 100ft from the stage and the sound system is top notch.  So, plan of going on Saturday July 31st and I hope to see you there.

Ticket information is available at Celebrity Theatre ( ) and Danny Zelisko Presents ( ).  Danny and his team are also working with Alan at a number of other venues around the US.  Please check out Danny’s website for location and venue information.  You can also find out the full tour information at Alan’s website ( ).
