Extra Innings Festival Photos Day 2
This was the last day of the Innings Festival and the Extra Innings festival. Today was a day for singer song writers with alternative/indi styles. The headliner today was The Dave Matthews Band. Prior to Dave on the Home Plate stage was Noah Kahan. The young ladies went crazy when Noah came on the stage. I didn’t know which was loader, their screams or the bands music. Sheryl Crow also performed and was a huge hit with the fans. Local valley favorites Gin Blossoms showed us why they are still a big hit here in the valley. For me the surprise was Larkin Poe. I love the sister act and their music. But let’s get back to headliner, Dave Matthews Band. I have been hoping to see them for the past 20 years, and they didn’t disappoint. Overall, it was a fantastic way to end this outstanding festival.
I would like to thank all of the workers, venders and staff that made this festival run so smooth. I would also like to thank the crowds for their enthusiasm. I personally can’t wait to see who they promoters will get for next year’s events. SO, I hope to see you all there next year.
Ben Goldsmith

Jade Bird
Jade Elizabeth Bird is an English singer, songwriter and musician. Bird’s music has been influenced by many folk and Americana artists. The media, when describing Bird’s music, have drawn comparisons with pop, Americana, country and folk rock. (1)
Josiah & The Bonnevilles
Front Man and Tennessee native Josiah Leming lays his life bare in the gritty, gripping lyrics, from romantic relationships hitting the skids to wonderful. At this show, he was performing as a solo act.
Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners
Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners are an indie folk/rock band living in Seattle, Washington consisting of life long friends Mitch Cutts, Nic Haughn, and Jakob Ervin, with Dylan Schneider joining the band later for live performances.
Larkin Poe
Larkin Poe is an American roots rock band led by sisters Rebecca Lovell and Megan Lovell. The band originated in north Georgia and is currently based in Nashville. Their style of music is Southern rock; blues rock; folk rock. (1) I thought that their performance was great. Rebecca was extremely dynamic and all over the stage. Their performance for me was the surprise of the day. I would highly recommend you see them if they come to a city near you.
Sheryl Crow
Sheryl Suzanne Crow is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. Her music incorporates elements of rock, pop, country, folk, and blues. (1) I was looking forward to see Sheryl since I have missed her every other time she came to Phoenix. I did go into the crowd to listen to Sheryl and her band. I got to hear a number of the hits I was hoping for. I loved that she was wearing a Daffy Duck tee-shirt. Hopefully the next time she comes to the valley I will be allowed to photograph her.

Gin Blossoms
Local favorites Gin Blossoms is an American alternative rock band formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona. They rose to prominence following the 1992 release of their first major label album, New Miserable Experience, and the first single released from that album, “Hey Jealousy”. (1) Gin Blossoms were inducted into The Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame in 2017. I was lucky enough to be at the induction and the Gin Blossoms deserved it.
Noah Kahan
Noah Kahan is an American singer-songwriter who signed with Republic Records in 2017. His breakthrough single, “Hurt Somebody”, achieved gold status in the United States and charted in multiple international markets. (1) His style is Folk-pop. It was amazing to hear all of the girls and young women screaming. It reminded me of Beatles Mania back in the 60s.
Morgan Wade
Morgan Dealie Wade is an American country music singer. Active since 2018, she released the album Thirty Tigers in 2021 and Psychopath in 2023. (1)
Dave Matthews Band
Dave Matthews Band is an American rock band formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1991. The band’s founding members are singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Matthews, bassist Stefan Lessard, drummer and backing vocalist Carter Beauford, violinist and backing vocalist Boyd Tinsley, and saxophonist LeRoi Moore. (1) I was very happy to hear the second song that they played was a Classic song by David Bowie, “Let’s Dance”.
