This will be a night of outstanding Folk Metal Music with heavy influences from Viking Mythology.  With 4 touring bands, Týr, Æther Realm, TrollfesT & The Dread Crew of Oddwood.  This will be the first time I have seen 3 of these bands, but I have seen Æther Realm many times before.  I have been listening to all of the band’s music on the normal streaming channels and they all sound very interesting.

Týr is from the Nordic country, Faroe Islands. Their powerful and unique music is a blend of several heavy metal styles and melodies from Nordic folklore.  Their subject matter revolves almost entirely around Viking lore, mythology, and history,[2] taking their name from Týr, the god of war in Norse religion (1).

Æther Realm with Unleash The Archers at The Nile Theater, Mesa, AZ on September 21st, 2021

Æther Realm is an American heavy metal band from Greenville, North Carolina.  Their music is a blend of melodic death metal and folk metal, with lyrical themes of fantasy and mythology. (1)

TrollfesT is a Norwegian folk metal band.

The Dread Crew of Oddwood is an acoustic pirate band from San Diego, California. Their music, referred to by the band as “Heavy Mahogany”, is characterized by a pirate theme and heavy use of acoustic instruments (1)
