It was a night of heavy metal/hard rock music with Corrosion of Conformity. Corrosion of Conformity (often abbreviated as C.O.C.) is an American heavy metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982. Only lead guitarist Woody Weatherman is from the original band. Newer members include lead singer and rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan, bass player Bobby Landgraf and drummer Nick Shabatura. A large number of people at the show (at least in the front) had seen COC in the 80s and were extremely happy to see them again. This was my first time and I really enjoyed their performance. The band was fantastic. Pepper voice was great. If you like good hard rock music, then I can recommend seeing COC.

WHORES concert at the Nile Theater, Mesa, AZ on July 10th, 2026

Whores is an American noise rock/sludge metal band based in Atlanta, Georgia. It currently consists of vocalist and guitarist Christian Lembach, bass guitarist Douglas Jennings Barrett and drummer Donnie Adkinson. A large part of the audience really liked them, but I was not that impressed. They were good, but the other bands were much better.

Crobot concert at the Nile Theater, Mesa, AZ on July 10th, 2026

Crobot is an American hard rock band from Pottsville, Pennsylvania that formed in 2011, composed of lead singer Brandon Yeagley, guitarist Chris Bishop and brothers bassist Willie and drummer Nico Jansen. I really liked them. Brandon was especially dynamic on stge. He was constantly dancing around on the stage and at times hanging over the audience singing. The rest of the band was solid. There hard rock sound filled the venue and got the people really going.

The one thing I have to complain about was the idiots in the mosh pit. Usually, the mosh pit forms about 5 to 6 people behind the front. However, tonight the people in the front were getting slammed. The people in the mosh pit need to understand that most of us at the shows want to see and hear the bands and not get slammed in the back. Most of the time the mosh pit people are reasonable, but tonight they were just idiots out to slam into anyone. At some point venues might have to section areas off for mosh pits just to protect the other fans.
