Tour: Bulletproof Tour 2024
Danny Zelisko Presents and Celebrity Theatre have teamed up with one of our local charities by having an auction of a signed guitar. All of the proceeds go to St. Mary’s Food Bank to help feed the less fortunate people here in the greater Phoenix area. Each dollar will generate 5 meals. Tonight, we had a guitar signed by Samantha Fish. It went for $3250 which help produce over 16 thousand meals. They also use some of the money for bottled water which is critical when the temperatures here in Phoenix are over 110 degrees. I would like to give a huge shout out to the winner of the guitar for their very generous bid, Danny Zelisko Presents (DZP), the Celebrity Theatre and especially Samantha Fish. So, if you attend a DZP show at the Celebrity Theatre, bring your credit card if you want to bid on a signed guitar by your favorite artist.
I will also put in my 2 cents about helping out the artists. If you want to help the artist to continue to tour and create new music, please purchase items from their merchandise table. The profits go directly to the artists. A single CD purchase is the equivalent to 2000 to 3000 plays on Spotify.
Samantha Fish
What can you say about Samantha Fish other than just fabulous. She is the total package, beautiful, extremely talented, tremendous performer and an outstanding song writer. The way she makes her guitars scream and howl reminds me of some of the great blues-rock guitarists from the past 5 decades. Add in her sultry voice and incredible lyrics and she sets a new standard for blues-rock performers. She is so good that she can hold her own with any of the great blues-rock guitarists. This was the third time I have seen her and each time it just gets better.
Her set was a mixture of great blues-rock musician covers and her own terrific songs. I especially enjoyed her opening cover of MC5’s “Kick Out the Jams”. It definitely set the tone for the night, that it was going to be one rockin’ show. This tour is called Bulletproof which is one of the songs from her newest album, Kill or Be Kind. She played 4 songs from this album including “Bulletproof”, “Dream Girl”, “Watch it Die” and the title song “Kill or Be Kind”. If you love blues-rock music them you really need to check out this album. I especially enjoyed her performance of “Bulletproof” and “Dream Girl”.
Her set tonight was almost 2 hours long, but it seemed way shorter because when you listened to her, you definitely got lost in the music and time no longer matter. Check out her setlist below for which songs she performed tonight. She ended the main set with the title song from her Black Wind Howlin’ album. After a very short break they came back for a 2-song encore. She covered two incredible songs, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You” and Neil Young’s “Don’t Let It Bring You Down”. It was a fantastic way to end a phenomenal performance.
Would I go and see Samantha Fish again, YES in a heartbeat. If you love the blues-rock music then you can’t go wrong in seeing Samantha. She is one of the most talented guitarists and singers touring today and she brings an energy that makes you scream for more. Please go to her website and social media pages to see if she is coming to a city near you. You can also checkout her songs on any of the streaming platforms and her YouTube channel.

The Zac Schulze Gang
First up was the Blues-Rock trio The Zac Schulze Gang from Kent, UK. Zac Schulze is the dynamic frontman, guitarist and lead singer. Zac is backed up by the hard-hitting rhythm section made of bassist/vocalist Ant Greenwell and Zac’s brother & drummer/vocalist Ben Schulze.
This was the first time I have heard of them and I was blown away. Zac was a madman as he attacked his guitar making amazing cord transitions and power riffs. They played a few songs from their latest EP, Made of Three. They ended their set with a lively version of the classic Fleetwood Mac song, “Oh Well”. Normally lesser-known opening band don’t get standing ovations, but tonight was an exception. People were standing and cheering and wanting more.
I was very impressed by them. They are definitely a band to look forward to see. Check them out on their social media sites and see if they are coming to a city near you. You can see a number of their song/performances on their YouTube channel and TikTok.
