John Lodge concert at Celebrity Theatre, Phoenix, AZ on July 25th, 2023

Probably one of the most influential albums in the Prog Rock movement in the 60s was the Moody Blues’ Days of Future Passed.  It was the first time I every heard a band with a full orchestra on an album.  From this album came 2 amazing songs that forever put the Moody Blues on the map, “Tuesday Afternoon” and the iconic “Nights In White Satin”.

Unfortunately a lot of the members of the band have passed away, but Justin Hayward and John Lodge are still touring.  John Lodge has a new band call 10,000 Light Years band.  He has recreated the entire Days of Future Passed in his concert with the spectacular singer Jon Davison helping on some of the songs.

I saw them perform this show at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, AZ and was blown away by how great it was.  If you like the Moody Blues or the Days of Future Passed album, then I very highly recommend seeing this show.

Current the band is performing along the east coast and will be stopping in the New England area starting July 21st.  They will be at the Plymouth Memorial Hall in Plymouth, MA on Sunday July 21st.  I will be attending their show in Nashua, New Hampshire at the Nashua Center for The Arts on July 23rd.  They will then go to the Colonial Theatre in Laconia, New Hampshire on July 24th.  Danny Zelisko Present will be promoting John’s shows in Boston, MA at the Wilbur Theatre on July 25th and the Bardavon Opera House in Poughkeepsie, NY on July 29th.

Like I said before, this show is a must see for anyone that loves the Moody Blues and especially their ground breaking album Days of Future Passed.
