It was a hot summer day, the air was still while the sun beat down over everyone. People were completing their shopping, some were eating at the near by restaurants but the rest were making their way to the box office to pick up their tickets. The night was going to be fun and full of nostalgia. . Everyone living out their memories from middle and high school.

The band of the night was none other than A Day to Remember. This pop-punk band originated from Ocala, Florida and is currently formed by Jeremy McKinnon – lead vocals, Neil Westfall – rhythm guitar/backing vocals, Alex Shelnutt – drums and Kevin Skaff – lead guitar/backing vocals. The crowd had gown immensely compared to the beginning of the show. The lights dimmed and everyone was shrouded in darkness with the exception of some lighting on stage. “Gonna Fly Now” began to play on the speakers. All of a sudden there was sound and a loud bang could be heard. They fired off a confetti cannon! The band members came onto the stage and began playing “Sticks & Bricks”.

They hit the ground running and really got everything kicked off strong for their set. The crowd met their energy with even more energy. The audience began to crowd surf along with singing and jumping along. The band’s set was put together with thought and care. Making sure to hit all the fans favorites and even new songs from their latest albums and singles, including their newest song “Feedback”. They also had some fun tricks up their sleeves other than the confetti Cannons. They had fire and firework smoke effects that really added to their performance.

A Day To Remember

The Story So Far took to the stage and the audience screamed! The Story So Far hail from Walnut Creek, California. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a small suburb about 45 minutes North East of San Francisco. This small suburb is one of many that have homed many famous artists in the Bay Area. The band is currently formed by Parker Cannon – lead vocals, Kevin Geyer – lead guitar, backing/occasional lead vocals/keyboards, Ryan Torf – drums, percussion/keyboards/bass/rhythm guitar and Will Levy – rhythm guitar/backing vocals.

They opened their set up with “Big Blind”. The crowd instantly gathered all their energy and  began to bring the intensity. They crowd surfed through 95% of The Story So Far’s set. Everyone was soaking up the band performance; they were screaming, singing, and jumping. The band was incredible, brining amazing songs to life. They ended their set with “Proper Dose”. Being able to watch them gave me a feeling of homesickness. I grew up in a small city right next to Walnut Creek, so seeing bands from where I grew up always brings me a lot of memories, comfort but always a small hint of homesickness.

The Story So Far

Four Year Strong is another band that brought the heat that night! This metalcore band from Worchester, Massachusetts knows how to put on an insanley good show!
