Having never seen any of the 3 bands before, I was not prepared for the extreme high energy of both the bands and the audience.  From the very first band, the energy in the Nile Theater was over the top.  Add to it, this was the largest crowd I have every experienced at the Nile Theater.  Normally with a large crowd, the audience goes back to the soundboard.  But tonight, it encompassed the soundboard and extended all the way back to the merch tables and bar.  It was packed.  And with the fans hopping and moshing it was very impressive.  From the reaction of the crowd, they really enjoyed all 3 bands.

First up was Sace6.  Sace6 is an alternative metal/emo project hailing from Long Island, NY.  It is primarily driven by vocalist Sace, which evolved from a solo project into a band unit around the end of 2024.  The current lineup includes Sace, producer and guitarist Noah Thomas (who also handles unclean vocals), and session drummer Tyler Saxz.  I thought it was interesting that after the first couple of songs, Sace and Noah exchanged duties.  Noel belted out the lyrics while Sace hammer out the guitar licks.  After those 2 songs they went back to their normal duties.  For a starting band, they laid the mood for the entire night, an ultra-high energy performance.

Up next was the Phoenix local band, Dropout Kings.  The Dropout Kings originally had Adam Ramey and William “Black Cat Bill” Lauderdale as lead singers.  But with the passing of Adam Ramey, Rob Sebastian more over from guitarist to singer.  Together Rob and Black Cat Bill bounced the lead vocals between each other.  This dual reminded me a lot of Run DMC and how they performed.  Not to be outdone was guitarist and crazy man Chucky Guzman.  He bounced around the stage, jumping and spinning while mouthing out the lyrics.  The only calm one on the stage was the drummer, Joe Lana Jr. and that was because he was trapped behind the drum kit.  The Dropout Kings only did 11 songs, but it was impressive.  I can understand why they are a standout rock/punk/rap band from the Phoenix area.

Finally, we got to the headliner, Don Broco.  I first thought Don Broco was the lead singer’s name, but it is really the band’s name.  Don Broco are an English rock band formed in Bedford, England, in 2008. The band consists of lead singer Rob Damiani, guitarist Simon Delaney, bass player Tom Doyle and drummer Matt Donnelly.

The way Rob strutted around on the stage, he reminded me of David Hasselhoff when he performed.  Rob has the looks, the charisma and the talent that make him the total package.  There were times he got down low and sang directly to fans in the front mush to their enjoyment.  Most of the night he wore sunglasses, but for a couple of song he removed them.  The women in the crowd loved him.  I was getting pushed around so much by women, I left the front and moved to the back of the venue.

Probably the loudest song of the night from the audience was “Bruce Willis”.  They yelled out multiple times throughout the song Bruce’s iconic quote from Die Hard, “Yippee-Ki-Yay, Motherfucker”.  Don Broco’s 15-song set lasted about 75 minutes.  But in that time, it was an all-out blast of energy from the stage and non-stop enthusiasm from the fans.

If you want to see a very high energy performance, then I can highly recommend seeing any of these bands.  They were all outstanding (and I am not really into rap music).  I had a great time at the show, except when the crowd surfing occurred right over my head.  Luckily no one jumped off the stage into the crowd or on me.  Would I go again to see any of these bands, hell yes.  Just to watch the pure energy on stage is reason enough for me.

You can check out the different bands below.  I have provided their social media pages.  Also, at the end of the review is the setlists for the bands.
