You always remember your first time, right? And so it will be following my first Insane Clown Posse concert on October 20, 2015 at the PressRoom in Phoenix, AZ.
CRAZY. That’s the first word that comes to mind to describe the show. INSANE would do it justice as well, but that would be derivative since its already in the band’s name. FUN would definitely have to be on the list as well, with the constant spraying of Faygo soda on the crowd, the horror clowns and the overall over-the-top performance. Yes, FUN would definitely be a word I’d used to describe this show.
ICP has some
of the most dedicated, loyal and devoted fans out there and it showed at the concert. Calling themselves Juggalos, ICP fans are more than passionate about the band that they support, going so far as to create their own clown personas for the show and showing up in full face paint.
There’s really not much to say as words don’t seem to do this concert justice, except maybe WHOOP WHOOP. (set list below photos)

I’d also say that in my limited experience, the Juggalos are getting a bad rap. ICP is currently in a lawsuit with the FBI over the FBI’s 2011 designation of Juggalos as a “loosely organized hybrid gang.” I found the fans at the concert, however, to be nothing but polite and respectful. The Juggalos were polite and courteous to me throughout as I moved around the venue with all my camera gear – always giving me room to get through the crowd and stepping aside if they thought they might be in my way as I photographed. I’ve certainly been to other shows where the audience members were not nearly as considerate or helpful.
