Each year prior to opening of baseball spring training, the greater Phoenix area that hosts a large number of major league teams, has a 2 day event called Innings Festival at Tempe Town Beach in Tempe, Arizona. This year it was Friday February 21^st & Saturday February 22^nd. This event is a combination of live music and different sport events including discussions and player events. The event is designed for all age groups and a lot of kids come to it.

This review is for the first day of the event. Another review will have the second day of the event. Like last year both days of the Innings Festival were mainly Rock and Indi bands. Below I have the bands that performed on the first day. I have provided both the social media pages and photos for each band.

2025 Innings Festival on Day 1 at Tempe Beach Park, Tempe, AZ on February 21st, 2025

There are 2 stages in the park that are about ¼ mile apart. Home Plate is where the main headliner at the end of the night performs. The Right Field stage has a number of the other good bands. A lot of people move between stages so they can see all of the bands. However, there are some fans that only locate at one of the stages so they can get the best location for the band they came to see.

This year Friday’s weather was prefect with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s and sunny. If you attend the Innings Festival, you can either get a 1-day or 2-day pass. There are also different levels of tickets from General Admission (GA) to VIP and finally Platinum. Each level gives to different access to areas of the stage. I personally recommend getting the VIP tickets because you get close access to stage location and a seating area near each stage. However, if you can afford it, the Platinum tickets get you the best stage viewing and they provide golf cart transportation between the stages.

Today, Friday there were 9 bands that performed. Boyish started the day at Home Plate stage. The bands bounce back and forth between the stages to allow teardown and setup of the next band on that stage. I have listed the bands (below) in the order they appeared. The main headliner of the night was Fall Out Boy. I have never seen any of the bands that performed today. The band that really surprised me was All-American Rejects. For me they were one of the standout bands. Of course, Fall Out Boy, Incubus and The Black Keys were outstanding. Actually, all of the bands were very good and I enjoyed them all.
